WTF News Wednesday, 3 million bees in your house? Dude.

Welcome to WTF News Wednesday. Here are my picks for "WTF??" items in the news. Some of these are older but they're all legitimate.

• 3 million bees removed from home in Miami:
  A Miami beekeeper said he removed the second largest hive he has encountered in his 20-year career -- about 3 million bees -- from a home. They produced about 60 pounds of honey. The hive was relocated. Dude. Didn't you think there were too many at the 1-million mark??
• Pet rabbit rescues couple from fire
  A pet rabbit, creatively named "rabbit," scratched on a couple's bedroom door, alerting them of a household fire.
• Woman finds 8 foot snake in washer:
  A reticulated python slithered through pipes, ending up in an 1800 farmhouse abode. I almost stepped on a tiny 6-inch snake this morning on the way in to work and nearly lept 6 feet into the air. I cannot imagine which parts of my head would explode first upon a sighting this large.
• Man snacks on metal, pieces removed:
  "Doctors in a coastal town in northwestern Peru have rescued the innards of a 38-year-old man by removing 17 metal objects -- among them nails, a watch clasp and a knife -- that he ate." This reminds me of the museum of medical oddities in Philadelphia called the Mutter Museum -- you can view a chest of drawers containing odd things people swallowed like knives, giant safety pins and needles. Although I was under the impression those were ingested by accident, not eaten. So, would one need to salt one's nails or are they good as is?
• Man tries to fix airbed, blows up apartment:
  "The 45-year-old man used tire repair solvent to plug a hole in his airbed and left it overnight. But it blew up when he went to inflate it the next day. Doh!
• Boy floats down river on toy truck
  "A Canadian boy celebrating his third birthday was unhurt and apparently unfazed after he floated 12 km (7.8 miles) down a river riding atop his toy truck, police said on Monday."
