Aniston to attend Oscars with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt
"Jen will own the night. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie might be nominated, but Los Angeles is Jen's town," said a friend in a press statement.
Pitt is nominated in the best actor category for his performance in "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button", while Jolie is nominated for the best actress for "Changeling".
And Aniston is invited to present an award at the gala event that will take place Feb 22.
"She was a good girl and pulled back during the Golden Globes even though she had the hottest movie out 'Marley and Me'. And at the time of the Oscars, the movie is likely to be at the top of the box office," added the friend.
The former "Friends" star had recently slammed Jolie by calling her "uncool" in an interview with Vogue.
Jennifer's boyfriend John Mayer has also been persuading her to take on Pitt and Jolie at Hollywood's hottest night of the year.
John reportedly said: "You've got to go. Why do you hide in this town? You have every reason to be there.
By presenting at the Oscars, you'll tell the world: 'I don't care about Brad and Angie. I belong here, too.'"

Jessica Alba lashes out at Bill O'Reilly
The new mum asked the reporter what he liked most about new U.S. President Barack Obama, and when he refused to answer, she joked, "That's it, be neutral. Be Sweden about it." Following the comment, TMZ.com called her a "ditz" and an "arrogant buffoon" for saying Sweden instead of Switzerland when referring to the neutral country during WWII.
O'Reilly whom Alba had called an "a-hole" at the same event also called her "misguided" for mixing up the countries. But on her blog, Alba writes, "I find it depressing that, in the midst of perhaps the most salient time in our country's history, individuals are taking it upon themselves to encourage negativity and stupidity.
"Last week, Mr. Bill O'Reilly and some really classy sites (i.e. TMZ) insinuated I was dumb by claiming Sweden was a neutral country. "I appreciate the fact that he is a news anchor and that gossip sites are inundated with intelligent reporting, but seriously people... it's so sad to me that you think the only neutral country during WWII was Switzerland."
She then linked to a wikipedia article to prove Sweden was also a neutral country. Added Alba, "I appreciate the name calling and the accurate reporting. Keep it up!!"

Prime Time!
After all, primer hasn’t been around very long and it occurred to me that some people might think it is just another makeup “gimmick.” In my first post, I wrote extensively about foundations, but I realized that I did not mention primers (which really are the “foundation” of foundation).
Let’s start with the basics – why do we need it?
Primer performs a different function than a moisturizer (even though it may feel the same on your skin). A moisturizer is used to protect your skin from the environment, used as treatment or to repair skin damage. Primer’s main function is to make your foundation go on smoother and last longer during the day. It also acts as a barrier to prevent your foundation, concealer and powder (and all that retouching during the day) from settling into any fine lines or wrinkles. Let’s face it – foundation, concealer and other makeup products can cause skin irritation, a good primer may help prevent breakouts or other skin-related problems.
There are many options out on the market today, but here are a few of my favorite primers that I use on set and that I keep in my personal makeup bag.
MAC's Prep & Prime - $23.00 - a fluid lotion with silicones. Calms and soothes skin, controls oil and evens out redness. This primer looks like a cream (white color) and blends into the skin well leaving no residue. Out of all the primers I have tested MAC’s is the least expensive and best “bang” for your buck!
Tricia Sawyer Beauty's Skin Balancing Water Primer - $34.00 – oil-free, infused with aloe leaf to soothe and cool the skin, sodium hyaluronate to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and silicone to help maintain your skin’s natural moisture levels. Non-greasy feeling. I use this primer on men after grooming (beard shaving/head shaving) to calm any type of post-shaving rash and it is what I carry in my personal makeup bag.
Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer - $36.00 – a blend of vitamins and antioxidants to smooth and perfect skin prior to foundation application. Also contains collagen to fill in fine lines and pores. I use the “original” and colorless formula. There is also an oil control formula that I keep in my professional makeup kit for my clients that tend to have very oily skin. This product is also available in a variety of correction colors (but those tend to be complicated and need a professional’s application advice).
Primer tends to be more on the expensive side because it is one of those dual-purpose products, i.e., it is used as part of the skin regime and makeup regime. In my professional opinion everyone should use a primer after skin care and before foundation/concealer application to ensure a flawless face!
Time for a little Q & A:
Everyone wants to know what the pros know......let's get some of your most important makeup questions answered right here and right now!
Dawnn S. wants to know:
Any good suggestions on a primer for my oily skin and can you give me the "skinny" on eyelid primers?
Pro suggests:
Hi Dawnn! Check out the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer - Oil Control formula. I have found it has really helped control oil and minimize the need for tons of touch up during the day. Check out the section "Tricks of the Trade" on this blog, I have posted something there especially for you! As far as eyelid primers go....Urban Decay makes the best and I use it all the time. I do feel that it helps control oil around the eyes and on the lids, plus it helps to "hold" the eye shadow on the lid longer with no creasing!
Melissa F. wants to know:
Sometimes I feel that in the hour commute to work my eyeliner has already faded and my foundation already needs a touch up. Any great products you can suggest to help solve my problem?
Pro suggests:
Hi Melissa! Sounds to me like you should try one of the primers I have listed above and also check out that "Trick of the Trade." Using Urban Decay's lid primer may help solve your problem with fading liner or you could try to use a great gel liner (it has more staying power). Bobbi Brown makes my favorite gel liner in some fantastic colors!
One more thought before I go.....You can also do what a lot of professional makeup artists do to "seal" makeup and help it stay put through many hours on a film or television set. Spray your finished makeup with a product called Setting Spray by Graftobian and you don't have to be a pro to get it for your makeup bag. Just contact Camera Ready Cosmetics and put in an order. Graftobian's spray is one of the best out there and it may feel strange to spray something "wet" on your face after you have completed your makeup, but I promise it will dry matte and help to keep you from feeling like you need to touch up all the time!
-- please do not ever throw up near me, and 24 other random things about me
1. Food must be kept separate. I will not sample around the plate; must consume all of one item before beginning another. (One exception: salad.)
2. Sometimes meat skeeves me out (especially chicken). Seafood's ok though.
3. I require complete darkness at bedtime. I'm a vampire. Light seeping in from the window makes me thrash and burn and thus I sleep with a covering over my eyes.
4. That being said, I can fall asleep anywhere, anytime with any amount of noise or ruckus. That's how tired I usually am. Once I slept like a baby on the hard wooden planks of a ship at dawn in street clothes while people mopped around my unconscious form. No, I was not intoxicated, just exhausted. (The thing is, I can FALL asleep easily but won't STAY asleep unless dark.)
5. I do not understand why woks must retain a "patina." That is crud which should be scrubbed off with brillo.
6. I've never smoked a cigarette. Hated others smoking as a kid and this repulsion exists even today.
7. I cannot hold onto a styrofoam cup without giving into the pleasure of sinking my nails into it. Eventually I will end up ripping piece by piece off just to feel it under my nail bed until I finally begin tearing it to shreds.
8. I am generally very congenial and understanding but if you throw up on the outside of my car and have nothing to clean it off with but a single McDonald's napkin, I will make you do it anyway. (Sorry, G.) If you throw up on the inside of my car, I will make you buy it.
9. I've only vomited twice in my life: once around 10, and again around 20, almost two decades ago. Due to inexperience, this is the most revolting thing I can think of and may be why I don't have kids yet. Or why I'll be so mean about #8.
10. I can watch blood being drawn and vaccinations plunged into my skin, surgeries on tv while eating and pop someone's giant boil while enjoying a sundae and it doesn't phase me. Just don't throw up.
11. One of the most comforting sensations in the world to me is falling asleep sprawled out on the backseat of a car during a long car ride. Even thinking about it makes me smile.
12. Peaches make my mouth itch.
13. I hate touching doorknobs.
14. My car is pretty organized. So is my filing cabinet, closets and projects.
15. I have a hard time picking up black stringy lint even when I KNOW it is not a spider.
16. I need time alone the way the parched need water.
17. If the dog horfs on a throw rug, I will just toss it and buy a new one. It is totally worth the money.
18. I love to read. Favorite time to do so: when eating and before bedtime.
19. Even hearing someone throw up makes me sick. If someone is somewhere throwing up and I know about it, I will be ill.
20. I almost never finish all of a meal in one sitting.
21. I took Spanish and French but am much better at the former as I can practice it with friends.
22. I hate swiss cheese. I'm the only person on the planet who probably orders a reuben with american cheese melted on top.
23. I'm a back sleeper.
24. I don't like the taste of water, generally. But force myself to drink it anyway.
25. Hmmm. About 1/5th of this list is dedicated to vomit. This tells you what a huge amount of resources are invested in its avoidance...!
More? In response to the "memememe!" memes going around, I also made another list of 100 things about me, and then 7 more....

Shahid Kapur gets too close to Priyanka Chopra
Shahid-Priyanka duo were in the news for their hot scenes in Vishal Bharadwaj's Kaminay, including a kissing scene. Now, their off-screen closeness has made the unit of the film suspicious. It is said that they look more like lovers than just friends.
Well, we can't rule out the rumour because Priyanka has not admitted Harman as her boyfriend.
Brangelina take twins out in public
Knox was photographed matching dad with a trendy flat cap while Vivienne was dressed in a cream cashmere babygrow and cradled her mother in a body sling, reports the Sun. Brangelina's other kids Pax Thien, Maddox, Shiloh and Zahara also accompanied their parents dressed in identical grey cord trousers and were also on their best behaviour as they walked beside them.

I love Carolyn Hax. She states the logical so eloquently that I literally feel my shoulders relax whenever I contemplate her advice. Yesterday she wrote about the embarrassment that happens at being different. I love this because my own path hasn't been traditional and I sometimes feel pressure to follow the same milestones as my peers. And then I have to remember that it's ok, I'm doing the best I can, for me.
Carolyn writes (on telling peers the honest low-down):
Why would anybody care? There's no shame in anything you say: renting, being single, not having children. If anything, the ones who have some societal explaining to do are the ones who grab at milestones because they feel they have to, and not because they're the right choice for them personally.
I love her kind and accepting outlook. Read full column -->But even then, I hesitate to condemn them, too, since the more charitable frame of mind is to see people of all kinds as taking their best shot with the life experience that's available to them at the time -- married, single, divorced, unmarried but paired. A little relief from social comparisons would do us all good, methinks.
Katy Perry's 'breasts' sold for $3500
The I Kissed A Girl singer had her ample assets immortalised in a plaster cast for breast cancer research charity Keep A Breast, and was thrilled with the amount someone paid for it.
She said: "Someone paid US$3500 for a mould of my breast. That's a lot in a recession."
Katy, 24, has also denied claims she suffered from alcoholism while waiting for her break in the music industry, and is adamant she is only a social drinker.
She said: "I didn't even know what rehab was until Amy Winehouse sang about it. I've tried things of course, but I've never been addicted.
" I've never had any problems."
The US star recently insisted she has no plans to end her war of words with Lily Allen, who previously claimed Katy called her "fat".

Have you ever wanted to leave it all behind (your house, your job, your ex) and go traveling to an exotic land with a perfect stranger? It's fascinating. I just checked out the his & hers diaries and can't wait for more...Happens to me all the time.
But this time I decided to write about it.
And so did she. (The perfect stranger that is)
The journey has begun. We're both keeping a journal online and we've both agreed to never look at what the other has written. Only one person knows the whole story. You.
One request. Please do not tell me anything she has written. No matter how horrible or embarassing it may be.
We've named it Putting Up Walls. You can piece together the real story for yourself at puttingupwalls.com
I'm not dating Britney Spears: Sandip
"I don't want to talk much about it as I am already in the news for the wrong reasons, but I want to make one thing clear that I am not dating Britney Spears," Soparrkar told IANS over telephone from Mumbai.
Just a few months ago, the international media was abuzz with the news that Spears is dating Soparrkar. Media reports had said that the two met at Madonna's party, hit it off immediately and later Spears came to India to spend time with him.
"I am very much in love with my partner Jesse Randhawa. I enjoy dancing with her. Whenever I dance with her, it gives me a feeling of closeness and pleasure," he added.
Soparrkar specialises in Latin American ballroom dancing and says the attitude of Indians towards this dance form is changing and people are now taking it seriously.
"People are becoming aware about treating dance as a career option and those who are serious know how to go about it. Dance is not a hobby any more and many study dance as their subject," he said.
"The most important thing is to understand and learn dance; only then can you excel in classes. There are people who are born with some dancing skills, but it is something that can be learnt over a period of years," he added.
While many have taken to learning western dances like salsa, Latino, rumba and cha-cha-cha, Soparrkar feels that the popularity of Bollywood dances overshadow these elegant dance forms.
"Bollywood dancing is the weirdest dance form and it can be learnt as a hobby. All those moves look good on screen and they are fun. Bollywood has a major influence on our everyday life and people love to imitate the moves of a popular song, but it isn't a serious dance form," the dancer said.
While Bollywood actors like Hrithik Roshan and Shahid Kapur have become a rage for their dancing skills, Soparrkar's personal favourite is Govinda, who according to him is a carefree and energetic dancer.
"He dances so beautifully and his effortless moves and great expressions make him a treat to watch. He dances from the heart and you can see the pleasure dancing gives him," he said.
Although he finds Bollywood dance weird, Soparrkar will be choreographing for three movies - "Raftar 24x7", "Cyclone" and "Phir Kabhi", which features Dimple Kapadia and Mithun Chakraborty.
"I'm not going to follow the Bollywood style. It will be a completely different form of dancing," he said.
Soparrkar made his debut on the small screen last year with music reality show "Chak De Shehar Di Kudiyan Te Galli De Gunde". This year too the salsa expert is one of the judges on new reality TV series "CBF Stunner 10" on UTV Bindaas.
The show, aired every Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., aims to spread awareness about safe biking amongst youngsters.
"The competition takes care of your overall personality and it is not just a show. It is a platform that prepares young aspirants to achieve their goal. We are just a guiding factor to help teach them basic things that will help them in the long run," Soparrkar said.
-- 14 things about me (and you?)
1. What were you doing 15 minutes ago? You?
Looking at CSS code for someone else's blog.
2. Are you any good at math?
I used to run from it until I went back to school to confront my fear and ended up acing calculus. I loved math then. I remember thinking that I could imagine solving math problems for fun the way some people would dive into a crossword puzzle. I knew then that that wasn't completely realistic outside of a classroom setting -- you really need to have someone to go to if you get stuck. Now it's been so long since I looked at math though I'm afraid I've forgotten a lot.
3. Your prom night?
I never understood why the prom was such a big deal. I went to two, they were both awkward.
4. Do you have any famous relatives?
No, but my grandma's sister was supposedly very rich and left all the money to a cat hospital. No idea on the details.
5. Have you ever taken out a loan to pay for school?
Yes. I'm glad I did but wish I'd planned a little better around this.
6. Do you know the words to your MySpace song?
I hate MySpace. I don't have a page.
7. Last thing you received in the mail?
Student loan bill.
6. How many different beverages have you drank today?
Only one, water.
8. Who did you lose your concert virginity to?
Belinda Carlisle but it wasn't really a real concert. I didn't even like her; the tix were an unwelcome gift. Concerts were kindof forbidden when I was a teen so that was my first and last until I was an adult.
9. Do you draw your name in the sand when you go to the beach?
No but I like to play in the sand.
10. What's the most painful dental procedure you've had?
Seriously? Oh man. I wrote about this before. It was a few years ago so I am finally over it, but see "Lessons on Teeth" for my traumatic dental experience...
11. What is out your back door?
A lifeless dirtscape trampled barren by the dog.
12. Have you ever been to a planetarium?
Yes, many times. I loved them as a kid.
13. What is your favorite flavor of JELLO?
Black cherry. It can't be healthy to eat that much red #5 though.
14. Do you sleep with the door to your room open or closed?
Closed. Always closed my whole life. I hate when I have guests over and they sleep with their door open. And when I visit my mom, I close her door while she sleeps. All doors must be closed!

-- back from NJ, NaBloPoMo FAIL
The weekend, as usual, was busy and short. I never did get to see everyone I hoped (it's just not physically possible) so I'll have to make another trip up.
How was my visit? Let's just say it involved good friends, Slumdog Millionaire, some family, very little sleep, moldy blueberries and an extensive acquaintance with my dad's more private upstairs bathroom.
Yeah, maybe TMI. But not as bad as the person at work last week who loudly spelled out a much worse scenario. "YEAH I had a stomach virus! I was SO SICK. Sittin' there sweating my brains out on the porcelain throne with a TRASH CAN in my lap, stuff spewin' outta both ends!! OMG you shoulda seen it!"
Um, no thanks....
Johansson, Knowles have good figures: Hathaway
“The Devil Wears Prada” star has recently been lambasted for being too skinny, although the 27-year-old is adamant she is a "normal shape", reported contactmusic.com.
Hathaway has hailed Johansson, Knowles, and fellow actress Reese Witherspoon for projecting healthy body images at a time when super-slim is often seen as an ideal.
"I don't think its just Hollywood that gives out that message. As a society we put out these unrealistic body images to young women, ” Hathaway said.
She added: "I'm a normal shape and Scarlett Johansson is not a skinny girl. Beyonce Knowles looks after herself and has a beautiful body. While, Reese Witherspoon looks great."
Katie Holmes - SAG Awards 2009
The 30-year-old soigné actress paired her pretty Jil Sander dress with “Fever” pointed pumps in Adobe by Stuart Weitzman. Be sure to check out the cut-out detail of the dress and the draping on the back of the left shoulder!
During the ceremony, Katie presented the award for “Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role” to Milk star Sean Penn for his work as ’70s gay-rights leader Harvey Milk.

Laying the Foundation!
We have all pondered the question, "Which foundation is right for me?" Whether we are standing at a department store counter, in the drug store aisles or online searching beauty websites, foundations are a mystery and can be costly if you purchase the product and then discover it was not right for you! I am always asked the question, "Which foundations do I use personally or carry in my professional kit?" So, here are the answers and reviews.
CREME FOUNDATION: Tricia Sawyer Beauty makes the best creme foundation I have used - the formula blends smoothly and won't settle into any fine lines or wrinkles. Invented by celebrity makeup artist, Tricia Sawyer, this foundation consists of two colors (a warm and cool tone) which can be blended together to achieve your exact skin tone match. It also has buildable coverage, which means you can use as much or as little as you need to achieve your desired look. I highly recommend purchasing Tricia Sawyer Beauty's Foundation Brush as well to insure the best application however, if you tend to have very oily skin using a cosmetic sponge to apply this product may work better. I use this product both personally and professionally. This foundation can be purchased in a number of places including: www.triciasawyer.com, online at Sephora.com or from QVC.
LIQUID FOUNDATION: Makeup Forever's Face and Body Liquid Makeup is an incredible product. It is light, fresh and leaves a slight sheen of powder on the skin for a very natural effect. Founder Dany Sanz is a total perfectionist and only creates products that work. I keep this product handy for use on all of my clients who prefer a liquid foundation over a creme. You can purchase Makeup Forever at any local Sephora.
I also love L'Oreal's True Match Foundation. If you mainly shop drugstore brands then this is the foundation you should try. It comes in a rainbow of colors with warm, neutral, cool & depth undertones depending on your skin color. Goes on smoothly with a sheer coverage. Doesn't leave your skin feeling dry or oily. Carried at all the major drug stores such as CVS, Longs, Rite Aid and Walgreens and also available at Target, Walmart and some grocery stores.
POWDER FOUNDATION: Nars Cosmetics makes one of the best powder foundations available to consumers. I keep the entire powder foundation line in my kit because I found that it performs well for film and television with incredible coverage and because men prefer this type of foundation over a heavy creme or liquid application. I also use it for contouring and for blush because of it's amazing pigmentation. Sold at Nars online, Sephora and other high-end retailers.
I also love MAC Cosmetics Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation and use it on several of my younger clients. Provides great coverage and comes in a variety of shades. Sold at MAC Stores, MAC online or Nordstrom.
TINTED MOISTURIZERS: I love Laura Mercier's Tinted Moisturizer (Oil Free)! It is a wonderful oil free, lightweight, buildable foundation that works with all skin types, especially those with sensitive, oily or acne prone skin. It controls dryness, prevents excessive oil buildup and provides sun protection with a built-in SPF 20. Great for teens! I use this product personally and professionally. Sold at Sephora and Nordstrom.
MINERAL FOUNDATION: There are several products available to you if you prefer a more natural approach to your foundation. Bare Escentuals is the most popular of all the mineral brands and it does a great job in providing the skin with pure ingredients, free of preservatives, talc, oil, fragrance and other skin irritants. It also has a built-in SPF-15 and is a very fine, loose powder. I have used Bare Escentuals personally and enjoyed the feeling and coverage, but on a professional basis I can not use mineral product because of coverage needs when shooting film, television or print, as well as I have found that mineral makeup tends to have a reflective nature when used with flash photography.
ETHNIC FOUNDATION: If you are a person who has darker skin and have a hard time finding a foundation that matches your skin tone, here are a few cosmetic companies that might have a product to meet your needs:
MAC Cosmetics - has many foundations in creme, powder and liquid form that should have a match for you.
Black Radiance is a drug store brand catering to African American women. This foundation comes in a creme foundation form (in a stick-type formula). It is lightweight and has an SPF 15. You can purchase Black Radiance at CVS, Walgreens and other retailers.
Thevi Cosmetics is an online retailer representing consumers of the Asian, South Asian, Hispanic, Middle Eastern, African and Mediterranean descent. They make an incredible liquid powder foundation with an SPF 15. This product is enriched with Vitamins E and C for anti-oxidant protection and Vitamin A for skin conditioning. You can purchase this product at www.thevicosmetics.com.
I carry the MAC Cosmetic brand in my professional kit and use it on all types of ethnicity's. I have found that in my line of work when I need a heavier type of coverage that this cosmetic line works the best however, I do know several women who swear by MAC for everyday use.
A few more foundation lines that I enjoy and use professionally:
Dior, Cle de peau, Era Cosmetics, Prescriptives, Chanel, Visiora, Bobbi Brown (these are all in my professional kit).
As with all foundation, concealer or powder, please make sure your skin is properly prepped with a good skin care regime and primer prior to applying coverage cosmetics.
TIP OF THE DAY: Creams on top of creams - powder on top of powder! In other words - if you are using a creme or liquid foundation make sure to set it with a translucent powder prior to applying any type of powder blush or shadow! If you are using a creme blush - use right after foundation or concealer and then powder to set!
Please remember that this blog is based on my professional opinion and all product reviews are based on product performance I have witnessed either from using the product personally or on my clients professionally. I hope I was able to provide you with concrete advice and help regarding foundation products and please let me know if you have tried another type of product I have not listed here. I am always on the look out for the next "best" foundation!

Dita Von Teese to perform striptease at Paris revue
The 36-year-old star has been booked in for a two-week run at the Crazy Horse in the French capital, where she also plans to show off musical skills.
"I feel that Paris is a place that still appreciates its showgirls. I feel I have to raise the bar," The Sun quoted her as saying.
"I've always had a real fascination with the Crazy Horse ever since I was a teenager and I found a picture of this line of nearly nude toy soldiers standing at attention. (I want to) combine the Crazy Horse style with what I do, which is classic American burlesque," she added.
Von Tesse will be performing at the songs she has recorded. The show will begin on February 1 and run through to Valentine's Day.
Lily Allen snogs twin sisters
She told the Gay Times magazine: "I did once kiss identical twins in San Diego. I was on the sofa and I had them both. I was dancing and shoving my a**e on one of them."
While the singer says this was her sole sexual encounter with women, she admits to having lesbian fantasies "a lot".
She added: "I do have wet dreams - lesbian dreams - quite a lot."
Lily - who has previously been romantically linked to DJ Seb Chew and Chemical Brothers star Ed Simons - recently claimed her fame is ruining her sex life.
She said: "I have had a couple of times when I've got to know someone and we've had a really great time at my London apartment, just watching TV and having sex.
"And then I get paranoid because I get like, 'I don't want to leave the house with you because I don't want us to be photographed together and for us to suddenly have to justify our relationship, when we don't know what it is yet'."
Dita Von Teese French fancy
Not judging by their latest stunning celeb guest anyway.
Busty Burlesque beauty DITA VON TEESE is set to titillate French audiences after booking a return to perform striptease at Paris' most famous nude revue.
The pint-sized star, who has boosted the popularity of Burlesque with her inventive striptease act - using larger-than-life size martini glasses, carousel horses and rhinestone-encrusted bubble baths as props, has been booked in for a two-week run at the Crazy Horse in the French capital.
And she plans to show off her musical skills during the shows, which begin on February 1 and run through to Valentine's Day, by performing songs she has recorded.
Although, you'd have some kind of couple to go to a strip show on Valentine's Day.
Von Teese, who was married goth rocker MARILYN MANSON, said: "I feel that Paris is a place that still appreciates its showgirls. I feel I have to raise the bar.
"I've always had a real fascination with the Crazy Horse ever since I was a teenager and I found a picture of this line of nearly nude toy soldiers standing at attention.
"(I want to) combine the Crazy Horse style with what I do, which is classic American burlesque."
Better get that Eurostar ticket booked then, eh lads...
Gwyneth Paltrow strips for Two Lovers
Thesun.co.uk reports that the actress bares in a scene in the film to entice a neighbour, played by actor Joaquin Pheonix.
Set in New York, the film centres around Phoenix's character Leonard, who after splitting up with his long-term partner moves back in with his parents.
His parents attempt to set him up with a family friend Michelle, played by Paltrow, who lives in the same apartment block.
Michelle attempts to lure Leonard with saucy antics, including phone sex and in another scene with some bedroom action.
“Two Lovers” is expected to release in March.
Paltrow has earlier been photographed ripping to her lingerie for a photo shoot to promote the DVD release of her 2008 movie "Iron Man".

-- interview with filmmaker Joe Falcione (part of my interviews series)
I'd always wondered what it takes to produce a movie -- it's so complicated. You have to come up with the script, actors, location, cameras and equipment, and that's not even including the funds or the know-how to write, act, operate everything and use computers and software... the whole production just sounds so impossibly intricate to me. And yet Joe wears all the necessary hats -- from writing to acting to editing and still somehow manages to do all this while working many hours and juggling a beautiful family. He was kind enough to answer my many questions about what it's like to be a filmmaker.
See interview with Joe Falcione -->
Joe Falcione has won several awards at various independent film festivals including awards for the music he helped produce. The music for his movies mostly have been composed by Roger Hooper. Read on for more, and to see the trailer of his latest upcoming film, Despondent.
If you've been following my blog for a while, you know that I have a special interest in social documentary. Basically this means I love stories about people.
It started when I discovered Po Bronson some years ago, falling in love with his book What Should I Do With My Life? about varied career paths people have chosen; what it's like to embark on one plan only to find your passion lies elsewhere (like the one woman who had gone to medical school only to find she hated being a doctor). And then what if you don't know what your passion is?
It was a fantastic read; between that, Ira Glass's This American Life, the birth of StoryCorps (an independent project of ordinary citizens interviewing eachother, stored at the Library of Congress), and my inherent love of questioning, my own citizen documentary hobby was born.
I have a few other interviews posted online as well. If you know me, chances are I have even thought of interviewing you one day!

-- restless tonight
And so here I am, desperately wishing I could have been asleep hours ago but needing even more to make headway on some work. Although I'm finally settling down for the night, I feel dormant projects shifting, turning, tugging at the edges of my consciousness and threatening to cross the great divide and nag me in my dreams.
Usually I have no problems falling asleep but tonight I'm not so sure.
Paris Hilton shunned by sister?
Nicky is reportedly distancing herself from her sister because she hates Brittany Flickinger, the winner of Paris' reality TV show 'My New BFF'.
The situation came to a head in the early hours of Saturday morning (17)
A source told the New York Post newspaper: "Nicky can't stand Paris' new BFF."
The feud is believed to have reached new heights last week, when Nicky banned Paris from staying at Dreamworks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg's house during the Sundance Film Festival in Utah.
Paris and Brittany had to rent their own apartment, but the heiress soon grew tired of Brittany, choosing to party with former Danity Kane singer Aubrey O'Day.
The source added: "Paris kept ditching Brittany for Aubrey".
The situation came to a head in the early hours of Saturday morning (17.01.09), when Brittany spotted Paris and Aubrey having fun at exclusive bar Tao.
Lily Allen apologises for topless text
The Fear singer confessed she mistakenly sent the saucy text message to the rocker while she was on holiday.
During Lily’s interview with BBC Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles, Chris told her: "Ricky goes to me, 'I got this weird text the other day from Lily Allen of her topless.
"And I'm looking at it going why has she sent me that? Literally a minute later, 'beep beep ... Sorry, wrong Ricky!'"
The 23-year-old singer - who has provided backing vocals for Ricky’s band - admitted there had been a mix up and went on to joke it was intended for Never Gonna Give You Up singer Rick Astley.
She said: “That was really embarrassing. I was completely topless. It was meant for Rick Astley!"
Lily is no stranger to being captured topless on camera.
Last week, the star - who has often been photographed baring her breasts during sun-drenched holidays - revealed her "third nipple" to a Dutch TV chat show host, saying: "It gets hard when you touch it."
Jiah Khan seeks permission to wear a bikini
"You know surprisingly I come from a strict Muslim family. So I have to ask my mom for permission ten times before I say 'Yes'." Now, that's a new one. These mommy-girls are something else, we tell you. Are the filmmakers already on the lookout of a certain Jiah kkan's Mom?
Victoria Beckham had another boob job!!!
The former Spice Girl had followed in the steps of her hubby-soccer ace David Beckham by stripping for a series of saucy Giorgio Armani underwear ads.
The fashion icon was said to have worked hard on her body for 6 months to get the preferred look in the ad campaign. And since the publication of the advert, Victoria has come under the scanner for her varying chest sizes over the years, reports News of the World.
Victoria, in 1999, had publicly denied that she shelled out 10,000 pounds to have her assets enhanced, saying: "I'm totally natural, except my nails and fake tan. I haven't had a boob job."
But according to High Court papers revealed in 2005, the designer had confessed having gone under the knife. And now, while the mum-of three was speculated to have had the surgery, her rep laughed off the suggestion.

-- Obama's speech online, and crowded metro pic
Look at this crowded mess! As of 5:30 am, the Greenbelt, Branch Ave and New Carrollton metro station parking lots were FULL. It took one twitterer 5 hours to go from VA to DC late morning (what normally takes a 20-30 minute commute) because the metro stations were absolutely mobbed. Estimated capacity was about 100,000 people an hour on the metro this morning. One woman fell on the tracks but she is ok. Also Senators Byrd and Kennedy were rushed to the hospital during lunch... hope they are ok too.Metro to Baltimore pic, 3:45pmBoth pix from CarFreeJan20 on Twitter
Here's a view leaving the Metro station headed to the swearing-in ceremony: a journey that normally takes 15 minutes took almost 4 hours! -- Inauguration 2009 Contributor Kathleen Hicks, Fort Worth City Council member
Over one million people rode the metro today. Average ridership was about 100,000 per hour. (See Metro Ridership Tops 1 Million, Shattering Record from the Washington Post.) Wow! On the other hand, one friend of mine that rode the bus had the best possible commute -- he arrived and departed with no delay whatsoever. I think more people relied on the metro than buses.

-- live web cams of Washington DC
I'm probably not going. Dan is still sick and it's not realistic. I can't sleep because I'm so excited, so I gathered some links in case you're like me and want to see what's going on downtown from the comfort of your computer. See what DC is like with upwards of 4 million people roaming around (at least that's what they're expecting):
Live web cams all over DC: For some reason, this link MUST point to the I395/14th street Bridge camera first but click around to see more. I love this camera, I'll probably be parked here tomorrow. Zoom in on the map and click around (a good place to start is The Mall) to see what's going on.Enjoy!
Live web cam of Capitol and Union Station which rotates/zooms. I'm imagining many people will walk from Union Station to the events so check this out for kickin' traffic.
Live web cam of Capitol, Washington Monument, Reflecting Pool and Mall, but you have to watch a commercial first before it "clicks on" (just once though). From the Washington Post.
Another live cam of the Washington Monument further away at a distance. Also from the Washington Post, but no ads.
Inauguration DC will be twittering from downtown, check for frequent updates. They operate the official Inauguration website which (if you scroll down) also has news updates.
